The single mothers rice project component is coming to an end but not without hassle. On 14 to 17 of March 2022, the project team together with the project Director carried out a field visit to the farm as part of monitoring and evaluation of the project component.

It is during this visit that we realized that our rice farm was the first to sprout compared to the neighboring farms. Being the first was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because the whole project aimed at that end.

A curse because birds would all be attracted to one field, our field. Early April 2022, flocks of birds landed on our farm.

We Thank God that we managed to control the situation. The harvesting season started in late June. We hope the harvesting, packaging and storage will end by the end of July.

To God we give the glory.
